Geared toward operators, mechanics, technicians and rotating equipment engineers, this four-day, knowledge-based course offers a good understanding of the physical, operational and maintenance aspects of the various high-speed separable—gas field—compressors manufactured by D-R. These include the HOS/BOS and all styles of the VIP line. Other separable D-R compressor models are also referenced. Topics include: basic compressor operation and applications; principles of compression and performance data; basic process gas flow; capacity control; frame and component description; cylinder and component description (conventional and VIP design); cylinder and frame lubrication systems; compressor valve descriptions, operation and troubleshooting; and compressor maintenance.
